As Michelle Obama said, "DO SOMETHING." Join us in our efforts to save the Republic.
77 million of our fellow Americans voted for Trump, we need to engage thoughtfully with them in our effort to save the Republic. The Lincoln Project ads attack Republicans. Since we humans are innately tribal, we believe these ads to be ineffectual, based on scholarship on the topic.

The League will endeavor to shift perspectives by applying the scholarship of Jonathan
Haidt, a NYU social psychologist who draws on the latest research in neuroscience, genetics, social psychology, and evolutionary modeling. He is a recognized leader in the field of moral and political psychology - specifically how moral intuition, identity, and group loyalty shape political beliefs.
Haidt’s general thesis is that people aren’t inclined to change their political minds
when provided with proven facts and relevant evidence. Rather, moral and political judgments are generally intuitive first and rationalized second.
The following are basic principles which he has advanced:
· Start with their moral values, not yours. Frame the argument in terms they already care about: loyalty, fairness, authority, liberty,
patriotism, family, religion.
· Build trust before contradiction. People resist messages
from sources they see as hostile to their identity.
· Avoid humiliation. Calling someone stupid,
racist, cultish, or immoral usually hardens the position.
· Use stories and vivid examples. Moral intuition
responds more strongly to concrete human cases than to abstract statistics.
· Expose contradictions gently. Ask questions that let people notice the inconsistency themselves.
· Affirm identity while challenging the conclusion. For example: “You support the troops. Does this policy actually honor the people serving?”
· Create a new moral intuition first; supply facts afterward.
Facts are more persuasive once the emotional/moral door is open.
For RLA, the essential Haidt formula is: Don’t tell Republican voters they have bad values. Show them where the actions of their leaders conflict with the values they already believe they hold.

1.) We all support our troops.
One uniform. One oath. One country.
Who are “real Americans”?
Look at the United States military.
Roughly 40% of the men and women serving on active duty are racial or ethnic minorities.
They have volunteered to defend our country.
Are they “real Americans”?
Do they deserve competent leadership?
America isn’t a race. It’s a Republic.

What if you had been a lifelong fan of a team?
You bought the jersey.
You bought the tickets.
You showed up year after year.
Then one day, you found out the management and players were taking money to throw games.
They weren't playing for you.
They weren't even playing to win.
They were using your loyalty to pay themselves.
Would you keep buying tickets?
Would you keep cheering?
Would you say, “Well, they're still my team”?
Don't stop loving your team.
Demand that the people wearing the uniform deserve it.

During the Civil War, Americans who believed the Union itself was in danger did more than watch events unfold. They organized.
The Union League of Philadelphia, founded in 1862, supported Abraham Lincoln, the Union war effort, public advocacy for the Union cause, recruitment of soldiers, and eventually the enlistment of Black troops. Union Leagues spread across the country as civic organizations dedicated to preserving the Union.
The Republic League of America takes inspiration from that history—not because 2026 is 1861, but because the underlying civic principle remains important:
When citizens believe the constitutional Republic is under serious threat, citizenship requires more than observation. It requires organization, participation and dialogue with fellow Americans.
The Republic League of America organizes to preserve the Republic.
Republic Before Party.
"As a former Union League Member proud of its heritage, I was appalled in 2023 when -
"PHILADELPHIA -- The Union League of Philadelphia bestowed its highest honor on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. DeSantis received the Union League's gold medal, an honor first bestowed on President Abraham Lincoln back in 1863.
The decision sparked backlash within the historic club and in the community.

We too enjoy reading Heather Cox Richardson, other voices, comedians and critics; it makes us feel good to be part of the resistance. But it is not a solution. We all know the problem: 77 million Americans voted for Trump. We need to reach them in some constructive manner.

The RLA will endeavor to shift perspectives by applying the scholarship of Jonathan Haidt, a NYU social psychologist who draws on the latest research in neuroscience, genetics, social psychology, and evolutionary modeling. He is arecognized leader in the field of moral and political psychology - specifically how moral intuition, identity, and group loyalty shape political beliefs. Haidt’s general thesis is that people aren’t inclined to change their political minds when provided with proven facts and relevant evidence. RATHER, moral and political judgments are generally intuitive first and rationalized second. Meaningful experiences that inspire and connect. Let us help you bring your vision to life.
Like the Lincoln Project, the RLA is a Super PAC spending its money on political advertising. Unlike the Lincoln Project, RLA will reach not make fun of the right. We want to get former GOP voters thinking.
An estimated 8-9 million people showed up for the March 2026 No Kings rally. RLA membership is a different strategy for similar goals. Not to get out the vote, but to sow cognitive dissonance on the right and get some to stay home on Election Day.
